Miami Premier’s U13 State Champion Team wins spot as one of top eight teams in the Nation!
As Division I State Soccer Champions in their age group, Miami Premier’s U13 team recently had the honor of representing the State of Florida in The Southeastern Regionals, which were held in Tampa on June 9th and 10th. Teams from 12 Southeastern States were represented at this level and fought hard to become one of the top eight teams in the nation.
MPS’ 13s played five games at The Regionals, making it to the Finals after winning against Georgia 7-1, defeating Alabama 3-0, losing to South Carolina 0-2, before winning against the same team from South Carolina in Semi Finals 5-4 (penalty kicks). The Finals were played against Oklahoma, who won 2-0. Being a Finalist in Southeastern Regionals (which is as far as this age group goes), makes this MPS team one of the two top teams in the twelve Southeastern States, as well as one of the top eight teams in the Nation!
