Miami Premier Soccer is Dade County’s oldest All-female soccer organization. The club was founded in 1998 as a non-profit 501c corporation by a group of volunteer parents looking to broaden opportunities for young females through the practice of soccer while at the same time assisting them in the development of the skills necessary to succeed in life. MPS has traditionally drawn female soccer players from many different demographic and socio-economic backgrounds.
The Club’s mission is to provide the highest possible level of Professional technical and tactical training for girls who possibly intend to play at the collegiate level, helping those interested in obtaining scholarships. Miami Premier promotes the teaching of sportsmanship, teamwork and competitive play. Our objective is to provide an environment that maximizes individual talent within a team concept. Many Local High Schools are comprised of players who have improved and refined their soccer skills and tactics through Miami Premier. MPS regularly produces players that have risen above the Club Soccer Level and into the collegiate ranks. Since its inception, MPS has been able to send a total of 62 female soccer players to colleges and universities by actively helping them gain exposure to recruiting college coaches at major tournaments.
For the fifth year in a row, MPS was the most highly represented club in the 2008 Miami Herald All-Dade Girls Soccer Awards where MPS players received a total of 19 distinctions.
Miami Premier currently has 10 competitive traveling soccer teams for girls ages 10 to 18 that are a part of a year round soccer training program. Some of the club’s teams compete at the State Cup level and all of them participate in either FLUGSA (Florida United Girls Soccer Association) or FLUGSL (Florida United Girls State League).
MPS teams routinely qualify for the highest-level National Tournaments such as CASL Shootout Raleigh, NC; Atlanta Cup, GA; Norcross Nike Cup, GA; Texas Shootout, TX; Texas Lightning, TX; Tulsa, OK; Gator Showcase Gainesville, FL; Disney Showcase Qualifier, FL; Disney Shootout, FL and The Orange Classic, FL.
