Miami Premier Soccer Club is the Village of Pinecrests’ first, and Miami-Dade County’s longest continuously operating All-Female soccer organization. Miami Premier was founded in 1998 as a non-profit 501c corporation by a group of volunteer parents looking to broaden opportunities for young females through the practice of soccer while at the same time assisting them in the development of the skills necessary to succeed in life. Miami Premier has traditionally drawn female soccer players from many different demographic and socio-economic backgrounds.
Miami Premier’s mission is to provide the highest possible level of professional, technical and tactical training for girls who possibly intend to play at the collegiate level, helping those interested in obtaining scholarships. Miami Premier promotes sportsmanship, teamwork and competitive play. Miami Premier’s objective is to provide an environment that maximizes individual talent within a team concept. Many local high schools are comprised of players who have improved and refined their soccer skills and tactics through Miami Premier’s development program. Miami Premier regularly produces players that have risen above the club soccer level into the collegiate ranks. Since its inception, Miami Premier has been able to send a total of 65 female soccer players to colleges and universities by actively helping them gain exposure to recruiting college coaches at major National Tournaments. Miami Premier is regularly represented in the Miami Herald All-Dade Girls Soccer Awards.
For the 2014/15 Season Miami Premier has 10 competitive traveling soccer teams for girl’s ages 9 to 17 years old that are a part of a year round soccer training program. Miami Premier has also developed a Juniors Program for girl’s ages 4 – 8 years old to begin proper skill development at an early age in preparation for travel soccer once they are age appropriate. Some of Miami Premier’s teams compete at the State Cup level, and all of them participate in league play with either FLUGSA (Florida United Girls Soccer Association), SFUYSA (South Florida United Youth Soccer Association) or FSL (Florida State League).
Miami Premier’s teams routinely qualify for the highest-level National College Showcase Tournaments: CASL Shootout Raleigh, NC; Atlanta Cup, GA; Norcross Nike Cup, GA; Texas Shootout, TX; Tulsa, OK; Gator Showcase Gainesville, FL; Disney Showcase, FL; Disney Shootout, FL and The Orange Classic, FL.
